With over two decades of teaching and training experience with horses
from the lower levels to the FEI levels of dressage, Leslie
brings a passion for helping the horse and rider gain the most out of
their training and lesson experiences.
Having
discovered her own love of horses during her teen years she began her
early riding as an eventer, under the tutelage of German Reit Meister,
Max von Bluecher. As she grew to understand the benefits of
developing communication with the horse through the higher levels of dressage, she
focused on finding those trainers and instructors who could continue her education
to the FEI levels.
To that end she has studied with such notables as Walter
Zettl, Henk
van Bergen, Kathy Adams (1991 Pan Am Team Silver Medalist), and Trish Helmer
(gaining experience riding international Grand Prix horses).

To improve her skills as a dressage instructor she has also participated in the USDF Instructor/Trainer
program; starting with the Regional Instructors Workshops with Major Lindgren, and
completing the first
steps of the certification program in the 1990s.
Leslie has
also taught clinics for lower level and FEI level riders throughout
the United States and in Sydney, Australia. As a trainer she has
experience training many different breeds for dressage. An experienced schooling show judge, she is
also currently in the process of
completing the USDF "L" judges program.
At this time Leslie is available for lessons, training, and clinics,
and can be reached at Leslie@dressageacademy.com
